Garden Mum is the classic fall-color plant, covered in a dense flush of blooms right as most other annuals are winding down. Full sun. Some hardy garden mum varieties can persist as a perennial in a well-drained Oklahoma bed, but most sold for fall color are best enjoyed as a seasonal planting.
